Personal guides tested to boost HIV prevention pill use in malawi
NCT ID NCT06200545
Summary
This study tested whether having a personal guide, called a systems navigator, could help men in Malawi stick with their HIV prevention medication (PrEP) for six months. The study involved 199 heterosexual men who were already seeking care for other sexually transmitted infections. Researchers compared how well men kept taking their PrEP when they had a guide's support versus when they did not.
