Summary
This study tested a program that helps people who use drugs prevent both HIV and overdose. It offered drug-checking services to understand what's in street drugs, along with HIV prevention medication (PrEP) for those who are HIV-negative. The goal was to see if this combined approach increases PrEP use and reduces risky behaviors. The study involved 493 adults in Baltimore who used stimulants or opioids.
