Landmark study probes why HIV may accelerate aging in west africa

Summary

This study aims to understand how aging affects people living with HIV in West Africa. Researchers will compare 600 adults aged 60 and over—half with HIV and half without—in three countries to measure frailty and other age-related health issues. The goal is to gather data to improve future care and support systems for older adults with HIV.
