First seen Sep 30, 2025 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 27 times
Summary
This pilot study aims to see if physical therapy that includes horses (hippotherapy) can improve arm motor skills in children aged 6-17 with neuromotor disorders like cerebral palsy or spina bifida. Twenty-four children will receive either horse-based or standard play-based therapy twice a week for 8 weeks. Researchers will measure feasibility, motor function, and emotional responses to determine if a larger trial is possible.
