NCT ID NCT06887647

First seen Sep 30, 2025 · Last updated May 03, 2026 · Updated 22 times

Summary

This pilot study tests whether physical therapy that includes horses (hippotherapy) can improve arm and hand skills in children aged 6-17 with neuromotor disorders like cerebral palsy, spinal muscular atrophy, or spina bifida. Twenty-four kids will receive either horse-involved therapy or standard play-based therapy twice a week for 8 weeks. Researchers will measure motor function, goal achievement, and emotional responses to see if the horse approach is feasible and effective.
