New patch tested to boost healing after hip surgery

NCT ID NCT05492396

Summary

This study is testing whether adding a special collagen patch during surgery to repair a torn hip tendon improves healing. Fifteen patients with significant tendon tears will have the patch implanted and then be monitored. Researchers will use ultrasounds and questionnaires to see if the patch helps the tendon heal better and improves hip function.
