Study halts early: which hip surgery works best for Middle-Aged patients?

NCT ID NCT04166227

Summary

This study aimed to compare two surgical options for people aged 40-60 with early hip arthritis. It randomly assigned participants to receive either a less invasive 'scope' procedure (arthroscopy) or a full hip replacement (arthroplasty). The goal was to see which surgery provided better pain relief, function, and value over one year, but the trial was terminated early.
