Summary

This study looked at 20 people with severe hip arthritis who needed a hip replacement. They were randomly assigned to get either a short or a long stem implant. Researchers used 3D motion capture to measure walking patterns before surgery and at several points after, to see if one type leads to better walking and patient satisfaction.
