Chair stands put to the test for hip fracture recovery
NCT ID NCT05840315
First seen Mar 15, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 9 times
Summary
This study tested whether doing many sit-to-stand exercises (like standing up from a chair repeatedly) is safe and doable for people aged 60+ recovering from a hip fracture. 30 participants tried the program at a rehab center. The goal was to see if it strengthens legs without causing lasting hip pain. Researchers measured pain levels, how many sessions people completed, and dropouts due to discomfort.
