Can a co-designed program get hip fracture patients moving sooner?
NCT ID NCT07561164
First seen May 02, 2026 · Last updated May 19, 2026 · Updated 3 times
Summary
This study looks at whether a specially designed mobility program, called HIP-ME-UP, can be used in everyday hospital care for older adults who have had hip fracture surgery. The program was created with input from patients, doctors, nurses, and hospital staff to help people get moving earlier and more often during their hospital stay. About 25 participants will receive the program, and researchers will check if it's practical, well-delivered, and acceptable to both patients and healthcare workers. The results will help decide if a larger study should be done to see if the program actually improves recovery.
