Quick workouts tested to boost fitness and sleep for Couch-Potato students
NCT ID NCT07256847
Summary
This study tested whether a 6-week program of high-intensity interval training (HIIT) could improve fitness, sleep quality, and physical abilities in sedentary male university students. Researchers enrolled 56 healthy students who sat for more than 8 hours daily and did not exercise regularly. They measured changes in heart/lung fitness, strength, balance, and sleep quality to see if short, intense workouts could counteract the effects of a mostly inactive lifestyle.
