Higher addiction medication dose tested to keep patients in treatment

NCT ID NCT06316830

Summary

This study aims to see if a higher daily dose of buprenorphine, a medication for opioid addiction, helps people stay in treatment longer. Researchers will compare a 24mg dose to the standard 16mg dose in 250 adults with fentanyl addiction. The main goal is to see if the higher dose improves how long people continue their treatment over six months.
