New MRI technique aims to spot hidden nerve injuries in the neck

NCT ID NCT07513467

First seen May 08, 2026 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 3 times

Summary

This observational study will test whether a high-resolution MRI can show very small nerves in the neck and spine better than a standard MRI. Thirty healthy adults will each have one 30-minute MRI scan without contrast. The goal is to see if this technique can reliably detect tiny nerves that are often missed, which could help diagnose nerve injuries or diseases in the future.
