First seen Nov 18, 2025 · Last updated Jun 18, 2026 · Updated 23 times
Summary
This study looks at how eating a lot of fructose (a type of sugar) changes the bacteria in your gut and affects your risk for diabetes and fatty liver. Researchers will give 30 adults either a high-fructose or high-glucose diet for 12 days and measure changes in their gut microbes, liver fat, and blood markers. The goal is to understand why too much fructose can be harmful and find ways to prevent related health problems.
