Spinal cord zaps may ease nerve pain from severe shoulder injuries

NCT ID NCT04733599

First seen Mar 07, 2026 · Last updated May 25, 2026 · Updated 13 times

Summary

This study looks at whether high-frequency spinal cord stimulation can reduce severe nerve pain in people who have had a brachial plexus injury (a serious shoulder and arm nerve injury). About 20 adults who are already scheduled to get a spinal cord stimulator will report their pain levels and daily function before and after the treatment. The goal is to see if this therapy helps ease their long-term nerve pain.
