Heartburn drug tested against pancreatic cancer in early trial

Summary
This study tests whether high doses of omeprazole, a common heartburn medication, are safe for people with pancreatic cancer who are about to have surgery. Researchers will also look at how the drug affects tumor markers and acidity. About 60 adults with newly diagnosed pancreatic cancer will take part.
