Summary
This study looks at whether giving a drug called iloprost for severe frostbite (grades 3-4) is possible and safe in remote, high-altitude places like Mount Everest. Ten adults with severe frostbite will receive the treatment in the field and be followed for up to 18 months. Researchers want to see if starting treatment early can save more tissue and reduce the need for amputation compared to past cases.
