Which surgery keeps hiatal hernias from coming back?

NCT ID NCT04695171

First seen Feb 28, 2026 · Last updated May 25, 2026 · Updated 17 times

Summary

This study looked at people who had surgery for a large hiatal hernia (a hole in the diaphragm) more than two years ago. It compared two types of surgery: one using a magnetic device called LINX and the other called fundoplication. The goal was to see how often the hernia comes back after each surgery. The study was stopped early, but it may still provide useful information about long-term results.
