First seen Jan 05, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 32 times
Summary
This study tests a pill called hetrombopag to see if it can safely raise platelet counts in cancer patients whose platelets drop too low after chemotherapy. About 150 adults with solid tumors (like lung, breast, or colon cancer) will receive either the drug or a placebo during their chemo cycles. The goal is to prevent delays or dose reductions in chemotherapy and reduce the need for platelet transfusions.
