New pill could help cancer patients avoid dangerous platelet drops

Summary
This study tests a tablet called hetrombopag to see if it can safely raise platelet levels in adults with solid tumors who develop low platelets (thrombocytopenia) after chemotherapy. About 150 participants will receive either the drug or a placebo. The goal is to help patients complete their chemo cycles without delays or needing rescue treatments.
