Nerve block after hernia surgery may speed up recovery

NCT ID NCT07509957

First seen Apr 29, 2026 · Last updated May 01, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This study looks at whether a specific nerve block (called ESPB) given after inguinal hernia surgery can improve recovery quality, reduce pain, and help patients get back to normal activities sooner. About 60 adults having hernia repair will be randomly assigned to receive the block or standard pain care. Researchers will measure pain, recovery scores, and how quickly people return to daily life over 30 days.
