Summary
This study is testing whether a combination of Chinese herbal mouthwash and oral solution can reduce the time patients suffer from severe mouth sores caused by radiation therapy for head and neck cancers. The trial involves 128 patients who will use either the herbal treatments or placebo solutions when they develop severe mouth sores during radiation. Researchers want to see if these traditional medicines can help patients recover from this painful side effect faster and with fewer complications.
