New surgery targets hidden cancer in liver lymph nodes for ovarian patients

Summary

This study tests if removing lymph nodes near the liver (hepato-celiac lymphadenectomy) can help control advanced or recurrent ovarian cancer. About 94 women with stage III/IV or platinum-sensitive recurrent ovarian cancer will receive this surgery. Researchers will track how many remain cancer-free after 2 years and monitor side effects.
