New drug aims to shrink fatty liver in diabetes patients

Summary
This study tests whether the drug Henggliejin can improve fatty liver in people with type 2 diabetes and nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD). About 149 adults will take the drug for 48 weeks to see if it reduces liver scarring. The goal is to manage the disease, not cure it.
