Summary

This study looks at how two common diabetes medications, henagliflozin and metformin, affect body composition in older adults newly diagnosed with type 2 diabetes. About 116 people aged 60-85 will take one of the drugs daily for 24 weeks. Researchers will measure changes in muscle mass, blood sugar, and physical function to see which drug works better for this age group.
