New heat treatment for hemorrhoids put to the test

Summary

This study aims to see if a newer, heat-based treatment for hemorrhoids works as well as a more established surgical method. It will involve 168 adults with moderate hemorrhoids that haven't improved with other treatments. Researchers will compare the failure and recurrence rates of the two procedures one year after surgery.
