NCT ID NCT07196865
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 27 times
Summary
This study compares three methods of closing the wound after hemorrhoid removal: leaving it open, stitching it closed, or stitching only half closed. About 378 adults with mixed hemorrhoids needing surgery will be randomly assigned to one of the three groups. Researchers will measure healing time, pain, complications, and whether hemorrhoids return within a year to determine which approach works best.
