New surgical cut found to ease pain after hemorrhoid removal
NCT ID NCT07360912
Summary
This study tested whether adding a small cut to the anal muscle during hemorrhoid surgery reduces pain and bleeding after the operation. 120 adults with severe hemorrhoids had either the standard surgery or the surgery with the extra muscle cut. Researchers measured pain and bleeding for two weeks to see which method helped patients recover more comfortably.
