First seen Apr 19, 2026 · Last updated May 18, 2026 · Updated 5 times

Summary

This study looked at whether help from a spouse, family member, or close friend can improve how well people with high blood pressure follow their medication and healthy lifestyle plans. 133 people with high blood pressure and their significant others took part. The researchers compared the support group to usual care to see if reminders and encouragement made a difference.
