Gentle touch, big hope: therapy for newborns with brain injury shows promise

NCT ID NCT05130528

First seen May 21, 2026 · Last updated Jun 17, 2026 · Updated 3 times

Summary

This study tested a special movement and sensory program for babies who had a brain injury around birth (called HIE). The program started in the NICU and continued at home for 6 months. Researchers wanted to see if it was possible for families to do and if it might help babies' development. Only 11 babies took part, so results are very early.
