Heating the cervix to fight off stubborn HPV
NCT ID NCT07376031
Summary
This study tested whether a heat treatment on the cervix could help clear persistent HPV infections in women aged 40 and older. 131 women with a long-term HPV infection but no severe cell changes were randomly assigned to either receive the heat treatment or no treatment. Researchers then monitored both groups for a year to see if the heat treatment helped the body clear the virus compared to the untreated group.
