Heart valve fix could change how doctors measure artery blockages
NCT ID NCT04420325
Summary
This study aimed to understand how fixing a severely narrowed aortic heart valve affects the tools doctors use to measure blockages in the heart's arteries. Researchers followed 116 patients who had both a narrowed valve and moderate artery blockages. They measured blood flow in the arteries before valve replacement, right after the procedure, and again six months later to see how these measurements changed.
