New cooling device aims to reduce heart transplant complications

Summary

This study tests a new device that keeps donor hearts at the right temperature during transport, compared to the usual ice method. The goal is to see if it reduces severe complications after a heart transplant. About 50 adult heart transplant recipients will take part, and researchers will track their recovery for 90 days.
