New heart surgery fluid tested on children with birth defects
NCT ID NCT07381530
Summary
This study aims to compare the safety and heart-protecting effects of two different fluids used during heart surgery in children with congenital heart defects. The fluids are used to temporarily stop the heart during surgery so doctors can operate safely. Researchers will measure heart injury markers and recovery outcomes in about 100 children under 18 years old.
