New heart monitor tested during surgery
NCT ID NCT06822361
Summary
This study compared two methods for monitoring how patients' hearts respond to fluid during beating-heart bypass surgery. Researchers tested a less invasive monitoring device against the current standard method in 55 adults undergoing scheduled surgery. The goal was to see if the simpler device could help doctors better manage patients' fluid levels during this high-risk procedure.
