Summary
This study compared two different protective fluid solutions used to temporarily stop and protect the heart during coronary artery bypass surgery. Researchers tested a modified 'Del Nido' solution against a standard 'HTK' solution in 124 adult patients. The goal was to see which fluid better preserved heart muscle function and led to fewer irregular heartbeats after surgery.
