Summary
This study aimed to find out if a quick heart ultrasound measurement, called TAPSE, could help doctors predict how long infants with severe bronchiolitis would need intensive care. Researchers measured the TAPSE in 46 infants under 2 years old who were admitted to the pediatric ICU for severe bronchiolitis. They then checked if this measurement was linked to how long the babies stayed in the hospital or if they needed a breathing tube.
