New heart pump tested to make risky artery procedures safer

Summary
This study is testing a new, smaller heart pump device called NyokAssist™ to see if it is safer and more effective than the standard balloon pump used during high-risk heart artery procedures. It involves 236 patients with complex heart disease who are having a planned procedure to open blocked arteries. The main goal is to see if the new pump reduces serious heart and stroke complications during and after the procedure.
