Hidden heart risks in kids with liver disease: new study to find them
NCT ID NCT07502196
First seen Apr 02, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 8 times
Summary
This study looks at children under 18 with chronic liver disease to see if they have hidden heart problems. Researchers will use simple tests like blood work, ultrasound, and heart tracings to check for conditions like high blood pressure in the lungs or changes in heart muscle function. The goal is to understand how often these heart issues occur, not to test a new treatment. Children with known heart disease cannot join.
