Heart monitors after mystery strokes: a lifesaver for women?
NCT ID NCT07194811
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026 · Updated 28 times
Summary
This study follows 1400 women who had a stroke with no known cause. It tests if using a small heart monitor for a long time can find hidden heart rhythm problems (atrial fibrillation) and if treating those with blood thinners reduces the chance of another stroke. The goal is to see if this approach works better for women than men.
