Registry Check-Up aims to boost heart failure care

NCT ID NCT07154758

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Jun 22, 2026 · Updated 33 times

Summary

This study uses the Swedish Heart Failure Registry to identify patients with heart failure and reduced ejection fraction who are not on optimal treatment. Researchers will then help start or adjust medications, screen for iron deficiency, and refer for devices or physiotherapy. The goal is to see if this registry-based approach leads to better treatment compared to usual care. About 1000 participants will be enrolled.

What this could lead to

If successful, this approach could help more heart failure patients get the right medications and treatments faster, potentially improving their quality of life and survival.

What could go wrong

This is a pragmatic implementation study, not a test of a new drug. The benefit depends on how well doctors and patients follow the recommendations, and results may not apply outside Sweden.
