Heart failure recovery: could less medicine be better?
NCT ID NCT07513883
First seen Apr 09, 2026 · Last updated May 01, 2026 · Updated 5 times
Summary
This study looks at people whose heart failure has improved so much that their heart function seems normal again. It tests whether carefully reducing their daily heart medications to just two pills is safe compared to staying on all four standard drugs. One hundred adults with heart failure in remission will be randomly assigned to either continue all medicines or gradually cut back, and they will be followed for two years to check if their heart stays healthy. The goal is to see if taking fewer drugs can reduce side effects and costs without harming patients.
