First seen Jan 05, 2026 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026 · Updated 17 times
Summary
This study compares a new method of giving diuretics (water pills) guided by urine sodium levels to standard care for adults with acute heart failure in the emergency department. About 474 participants will be randomly assigned to either the urine-guided approach or usual care. The goal is to see if the new method improves patient outcomes and reduces hospital congestion.
