16,000+ heart patients studied: diabetes and weight swings linked to survival
NCT ID NCT07561866
First seen May 04, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 5 times
Summary
This study looked at over 16,500 adults with chronic heart failure who were part of a national remote monitoring program in France. Researchers wanted to see how having diabetes, other health conditions, and short-term weight changes were linked to how long patients lived. No new treatments were tested—the team simply analyzed data already collected during routine care. The goal was to better understand which factors most affect survival in this group.
