Summary
This study observed women who developed severe heart failure (cardiogenic shock) around the time of childbirth. Researchers compared the recovery of women who received a temporary heart pump device (Impella) to those who received standard medical care. The goal was to understand the long-term health outcomes and treatments needed for this serious condition.
