Summary
This study aimed to see if measuring how the body handles fats (triglycerides) could help identify which patients with stable heart disease are at higher risk for future heart problems. Researchers followed 514 people with coronary artery disease for 18 months, tracking their triglyceride and blood sugar levels. The goal was to determine if these tests are better at predicting heart attacks, strokes, or death than standard methods.
