Heart scan showdown: which test better predicts heart attacks?
NCT ID NCT06185530
Summary
This study compares two common heart scan methods to see which better detects clogged arteries and prevents heart attacks. Researchers will follow 2,000 patients with suspected heart disease for five years, randomly assigning them to either a CT scan or a stress ultrasound with neck artery check. The goal is to determine which approach provides more complete information about heart disease while reducing unnecessary tests and complications.
