Heart implant offers lifeline for patients who Can't take blood thinners

NCT ID NCT06465459

Summary

This study is collecting real-world data on a heart implant device called LambrE. The device is for patients with atrial fibrillation (AFib) who are at high risk of stroke but have a permanent medical reason they cannot take standard blood-thinning medications. The goal is to see how well the implant prevents strokes and other heart-related problems over time by sealing off a small pouch in the heart where clots often form.
