Could Alzheimer's also harm the heart? new study investigates
NCT ID NCT07154394
Summary
This study aims to understand if the same protein clumps (amyloid) that build up in the brain in Alzheimer's disease also build up in the heart and cause heart problems. Researchers will perform special heart scans on 15 people who are already getting brain scans to check for Alzheimer's. The goal is to see if these heart deposits are common and if they relate to different stages of Alzheimer's, which could improve diagnosis for both conditions.
