Scientists hunt for clues in heart attack survivors to predict future health

NCT ID NCT03070496

Summary

This study aimed to find new markers in blood tests and heart scans that could help doctors predict which heart attack survivors are at higher risk for future problems like heart failure. Researchers followed 281 patients who had a severe type of heart attack (STEMI) and collected their health data, blood samples, and heart imaging scans. The goal was to build a detailed database to better understand long-term recovery and identify early warning signs for complications.
